Happy Chocolate Overindulgence Festival

Which is even more festive for me, as I get a whole day without uni, work or parents tomorrow, if Mum's sore throat heals up.

It seems some celebrity pointed to a comic on Keenspace, and being the obedient herd animals they are, his fans immediately stampeded in that direction and wondered why the server crashed. I believe this is known as a "slashdot effect", after the eponymous new site.

I've been busy and somewhat frantic with an assignment over the last few weeks, as well as selecting, rescanning, and adding dialogue to some comics for an exhibition that should be running in the Mezzo Gallery (it's in the Wellington City Library, on the mezzanine with the coffee bar) from the 15th to the 29th April. And work. There is always work.

What isn't really helping is that I have a number of other projects I want to do, but there always seems to be something else clamouring for my attention. Leaves me paralysed from indecision, you know.

Anyway, I had an idea for a special Easter strip that introduced Layla's assistant, as well as Layla's passion for chocolate, and the infamous 1kg "What a Pig" easter egg, but I decided to get back to the story. Whatever that story is.

Anyway, that same week the exhibition starts, I'll restart uni as well. Yay. So what I can do in the next week and a bit of grinding dull toil is try to consolidate my notes on the existing arcs, plot threads and the like. It's high time I did.
